Home to Brutus and Roody, my Silky Roosters. Dottie, who my grandma named after my late Aunt. Loretta, Delilah The forever broody hens, Bitsy, Helena, Sophia (who is just getting ready to lay her first egg.)
Someone gave me 2 Cochin hens who are inseparable, Inky and Mabel. I ordered some frizzles that are amazing! Loretta just hatched 4 silky blue hens a few weeks ago. They are already eating corn! All of my chickens are in the pictures and the logo's for the site, if you want to see them.
I started Shop the Coop for several reasons. One being to raise some money to do some research on Marek's disease, which I lost all my chickens to years ago. The other reason I started Shop The Coop is because I invented the Poultry Nesting Box Heater, as a solution to my own problem when I was a new chicken owner. You don't always think about all the things that go into raising chickens until your knee deep in it (literally!)
I want to take a minute to thank each of my customers over the past 5 years, for the many orders, encouraging feedback and to all of you who placed even more orders this year!

Broken Items:
If you receive your item(s) and anything is broken please email me and attach a picture of the broken item. I will send you a new item, and file a claim with the appropriate shipping company. USPS and UPS occasionally do break the heaters and bulbs, despite the careful job I do packing your items! email:

Shipping:
Items in stock will ship within 1 week. Nesters that are handmade by the Amish may take several weeks. You can email me if you want to know what we have in stock.
Organic feed comes wrapped carefully in sacks, with the nutrition content included, and ships
immediately upon order. Some items may ship at different times, however we have combined shipping costs for your convenience.
Returns:
Please send us an email, and we will send our return address.
