I have been busy, but did want to thank you for getting the Solar Chicken Waterers out to me. I got them on the January 20th, during some of the coldest weather so far: 19 F during the middle of the day. I couldn't resist testing those waterers out in that, I spite of the bizarre temperature (much lower than the waterers are rated for) the waterers still kept the water , (which I put into them warm, not hot) completely thawed for 5 and a half hours. Only then did they start to skin over with very thin ice that a chicken could easily break! Just amazing!
Thanks again for getting this terrific product out to me.

| I just wanted to thank you for the heated metal waterer base we ordered. What a lifesaver! I no longer am going out at dawn trying to thaw my chickens' waterer just so I can refill it and have it freeze again. It has been in the 20's here for days and their water is actually at room temp! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your prompt response! And I appreciate how you immediately knew the status of my shipment. We are having temperatures that are colder than normal for Tennessee right now, but we have a temporary heater rigged in the coop that is keeping things above freezing. Eli, my rooster is happy and the girls are happy . . . each hen is laying about 5 eggs a week. We will be glad to get the flat panel heater installed, but we can manage until then.
I love your website. You have a wonderful variety of things available, it is easy to maneuver around the site, and the customer service is great. I will definitely buy from you again.

Melonie, Your products and service were excellent, so I decided to order more! I have 5 hens in my backyard coop. I had free range chickens in my backyard in Oregon and I fell in love with the personalities and varieties of chickens! This is my first harsh winter experience with hens, so I am thankful to have stumbled upon your website!

The poultry waterer is working well so far. I live in New Hampshire, and it get's pretty cold here. I am thinking of ordering some heater bulbs from you as well. I will wait and see how cold it gets! I love your site, and thanks for the help.

As a fellow small business owner, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for inventing these heaters! Genius. It's amazing how one can get emotionally attached to a bird. I LOVE my girls aside from the fact that all my neighbors think I'm nuts. Picture yuppyville neighborhood, and then the Martenson's at the end of the street :). Our weimarainer ate two of my girls last month, and it really blew me away how upset I got. She is still not allowed on the bed!!

Just wanted to take a minute and thank you for the heating mat. It is excellent quality as you promised and it arrived quickly. My rescued turkeys thank you. "Our toes that were amputated get cold. The heated mat is perfect", is what Petunia and Big Bird said to tell you.

Hi. My name is Warren and I am a new owner (6 months now) of 6 chickens ( 2 rode island reds, 2 wyondotts, 2 black sex links). I purchased a coop for them and just finished building them a chicken run 80 square feet by 6 ft high. I change their water 2x a day and clean their coop every morning. They free range in the field when I get home from work. Never thought I would be raising chickens. Raised them from a day old. They are spoiled.

FYI we received the heat bulb for the coop. Thank you. We love your website. This is our first winter with the girls so it's going to be "trial & error." We're anxious to try the mung beans.
I've attached some photos of our homemade custom coop. Our girls (Pecky-Becky, Bella, Sadie & Alice) love it. The coop is 100% predator free. Even the bottom on the outside run is completely lined with solid wire and covered with organic soil.

I just wanted to let you know how happy our 7 hens are with the
flat panel heater that we bought from you. This is our second
upstate New York cold winter with it and it works just perfect!! With the thermostat control it comes on when it gets cold and
turns off when it warms up. It is very safe and I don't know what we would do without it!

Thank-you for the heater and bulb. They look great. The winter rains have arrived. This week the coop gets wired for electric and the pen topped with plastic. The chickens will be more comfortable when it is clear and cold or cool and rainy. We get a lot more of the cool and rainy all winter long. Hope the early snow in Pa. was not too much too soon!

Last October we built a fully insulated chicken coop and ordered a Flat Panel Coop Heater from
shopthecoop.com. We managed to keep that coop warm enough for the hens to be happy into mid November with a hefty watted light bulb. But since we live in Fairbanks, Alaska, it isn't unusual to have temps fall to -40 to -50 F for days and weeks at a time. Luckily the Flat Panel Coop Heater arrived on the first day that we really needed it, and was so easy to install. With just switching between the flat panel heater and a lightbulb (some really cold days/nights we had to leave both plugged in) we managed to keep the hens and eggs warm all winter long. I'm tempted to buy another as a backup just in case this one ever gives out.
Thanks for offering a great product and service. Our hens are now running about in the midnight sun, happy to not be "cooped" up anymore. Unfortunately, they don't realize that winter will come again.
