They are nice enough to use in your home, or in the barn. These ship plain, so you may stain them to your liking.  Built to order, these may take several weeks. 

Do your birds lay eggs in different places? Try getting a nesting box, and putting some fake or real eggs inside.  This may prompt them to lay where others are laying their eggs.  These nesters are a nice size for Cochins, down to Silkies. Nothing bigger than a Cochin, Leghorn, or Rhode Island Red Hen, as it may be too small.
