Using Infrared Light bulbs will help your chickens/peeps in a very positive way. Studies have shown that Infrared light will result in having chicks that weigh more, are healthier, and if using it in an incubator your hatch rate will go up. This type of heat is healthy for your birds in the winter months.

Hatching chicks? Need some state of the art bulbs for your peeps? Looking to keep your chickens defrosted this winter? Read below about our Infrared bulbs, red bulbs and more!

Chickens are sensitive to infrared light and it impacts them in a very positive way. Chicks are very sensitive to light in their environment. You should not leave chicks with regular light bulb lamps subjected to this light 24 hours a day. Red light helps chickens not fight, and makes them eat less.

Scientists are just beginning to study infrared light with birds, but Horse Trainers have known about the benefits of infrared light for many years. They treat their horses with infrared light to speed healing and even help treat cancer, blindness and glaucoma. Infrared light cannot be seen but can be felt in the form of heat. Infrared is still a light wave, only it is not in our visible spectrum of light.

The Infrared bulbs that we sell have been used for up to 5 years without burn out and are made in the USA with a 24 month manufacturer warranty. The conical flat shape of them spreads out the heat more evenly thus leading to a longer bulb life. They do not have any light, only infrared heat.  The bulbs may seem expensive initially however they last longer and you will have healthier chickens.
